Types of Line Striping
At Porter Sealcoating & Paving, we do striping for a wide variety of projects based on traffic requirements and customer needs. The striping that is found on most modern crosswalks is called thermal striping, and involves the use of a thermoplastic paint that, when heated, will adhere to the asphalt. This produces a thick and durable layer of paint that will stand up well under heavy traffic.
For most commercial applications and other low-traffic situations, we use a solvent-based paint which goes on smoothly. Stencils and striping machines are used to ensure that the design is clear, precise, and professional – exactly the kind of image you want to present.
